Lake Powell and onto the valley.

After rising early and parking in Maccas to access their free wifi, we headed off to Glen Canyon Dam for breakfast and then
on to the famous Horse Shoe Bend on the Colorado River. The 2.5km walk in the heat and red sand was well worth the effort, but you would not want to suffer from vertigo. There are no fences or boundaries and it was daunting, especially with the girls being there. 🙈
To cool off we found a place on Lake Powell that you can actually swim from the shore, Antelope Point. We were very fortunate to have the whole place to ourselves and I think this has been the highlight of the trip for the girls thus far.
Our journey has now placed us in Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park.
This is one of the countries most photographed places and has been the backdrop for many a film, ad and TV show. The view from our van park is amazing and with the full moon it has been truly spectacular. All of the photos in the blogs have just been taken on my phone so they are not as good as the ones I've been able to capture on my camera, but they give you an idea (I hope)
